Honestly, the cost depends a lot on what you're actually trying to achieve. There's no one-size-fits-all answer in Dubai's market.

If you're just starting out and need someone to handle content creation and regular posting on two or three platforms, most agencies in Dubai charge somewhere between an average of  AED 2,000 to AED 5,000 per month. Step it up to full management, strategy, community engagement, and reporting, and you're looking at AED 5,000 to AED 15,000 or more depending on the agency.

Paid ads are a separate budget on top of that. From experience, anything under AED 3,000/month in ad spend rarely makes a real dent here. The competition across most industries in the UAE is just too fierce for a tiny budget to show meaningful results.

A few things that tend to push costs higher in this market specifically: video content, Arabic copywriting, and influencer collaborations. These are common requests from UAE clients and each adds to the bill, though none of them are optional if you're genuinely trying to reach a local audience.

One practical tip: always ask for a line-by-line breakdown before signing. Management fee, content production, ad spend, and reporting should each be listed separately. If an agency gives you a single bundled number with no clarity on what's included, that's usually a sign to ask more questions.

Honestly, this is something I get asked quite often and the answer is never straightforward.

From what I've seen in Dubai, social media marketing costs vary quite a bit depending on what you actually need. For a basic setup, content creation and regular posting across two or three platforms, most agencies charge somewhere between AED 2,000 to AED 5,000 per month. If you want something more involved, like strategy, community management, and monthly reporting, expect that to go up to AED 5,000 to AED 15,000.

Paid social is a different conversation entirely. That's a budget on top of the agency fee. In my experience, anything below AED 3,000 per month in ad spend rarely moves the needle in this market. The competition is just too high across most industries.

A few things I've noticed that push costs up: video content, Arabic copywriting, and influencer tie-ups are common requests in the UAE and each one adds to the overall bill. None of them are unnecessary though, especially if you're targeting a local audience.

My honest advice: always ask for a proper breakdown before signing anything. Management fees, content costs, ad spend, and reporting should all be listed separately. Bundled pricing with no clarity is usually a red flag.
