    I started my first blog in 1998, the same year Google was incorporated. Until Google became popular, I focused on ranking my blog in search engines like Yahoo and AltaVista. I even subscribed to the old Yahoo groups by paying a significant amount, hoping to see my blog ranking at the top of the search results in Yahoo.

    I swtched focus to search engines like MSN and Google once they started replacing AltaVista and Yahoo. Having strong experience in SEO since the early years of search engines and having watched how they evolved, I can answer this question: What SEO strategies are working well currently in the Dubai market?

    SEO in Dubai and the wider UAE market has evolved significantly in 2026, but the core philosophy of SEO has remained unchanged for more than two decades: search engines want to rank authoritative content that genuinely helps users. What has changed over the years is not the objective, but the methods used to convince search engines like Google that a website deserves authority and trust.

    In the early days of SEO, search engines relied heavily on keywords and backlinks.
